Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal. All around our itinerary is surrounded by a cirque of awe-inspiring peaks, including the awesome south face of Annapurna I (8,091m), in a natural amphitheater which is quite simply mind-blowing.
The entire massif and the surrounding areas are protected within the Annapurna Conservation Area, the first and the largest conservation area in Nepal. It was established in 1986 by the King Mahendra Trust for Nature Conservation.

Annapurna base camp trek

Annapurna Base Camp trek starts from Pokhara after a short drive to Nayapul. Terraced farmlands and traditional villages with Pun and Gurung ethnic's groups make this trekking more attractive. Trail ascends through ancient oak and rhododendron forests, across sparkling streams and over waterfalls. In the meantime the trip becomes even more appealing as the trek winds around different ridges towards Ghorepani, where you will enclose a magnificent outlooks of an early morning sunrise where a red radiance leaks through gleaming gaps, over the snow topped peaks of the Annapurna & Dhaulagiri Mountains. Climbing up the Modi Khola Valley towards the Sanctuary you are teased with views of towering peaks of Machhepuchhre ( 6.993 m. ), Annapurna I ( 8.091 m. ) and Hiunchuli ( 6.993 m. ). As the gorge widens, we ascend to Machapuchare Base Camp ( 3.700 m. ) on the lateral moraine of Annapurana South.
